Voice of the Family is pleased to announce: HEALTH OF THE SICK AND SALVATION OF SOULS: Church and society in this dark hour of history  A day conference on 23 October 2021 Hotel Massimo d’Azeglio (Via Cavour 18, Rome)   Throughout its history the Church has taken care of both the health of the body and the soul of her children as a good mother. How is she doing this today when chaos appears to reign in the world and also within her own structures? What truths does she possess that provide a moral compass for today’s trials? What can be learnt from her history and the example of the saints? How is it possible to maintain spiritual health at a time of global crisis? What are the signs of the times which the Church and the faithful must discern? And what should authentic pro-life and pro-family witness be at this time? These are some of the questions we seek to address at this Voice of the Family’s conference. We hope you will be able to join us for this day conference to unite in our common battle for life and the family. At this conference we will not delve into the political issues attached to the current crisis. These are matters of a high order, but nevertheless, not issues on which salvation depends or which can be addressed universally. It is, above all, the moral and spiritual aspects of these questions with which we will be dealing and which do indeed apply to us universally.  We are delighted that His Eminence Willem Jacobus Cardinal Eijk, Archbishop of Utrecht, will give a keynote address. Other speakers include Fr Serafino Lanzetta (Diocese of Portsmouth, England), Professor Roberto de Mattei (Lepanto Foundation, Italy), John Smeaton (Voice of the Family, UK).
