Many Catholics have been engaged in apocalyptic speculation, as it seems to them not only the world but also the Church is spinning apart. But is this speculation Catholic?
The problem with devoting oneself to essentially idolatrous events like the Saturnalia (and its modern equivalents) is that they promise a lasting joy they cannot possibly deliver.
What we are witnessing today, following the publication of "Amoris Laetitia", is a radical adoption of the absolutizing principle of subjective judgments of conscience and private interpretation of all moral norms.
