Obama’s most significant failures
The Epic Fail That Has Been The Obama Presidency
by Dan Spencer
Today is the very last day of the failed Obama Presidency. It seems like an appropriate time to take a look back at the epic fail that has been the Obama Hussein Obama’s presidency.
Such a reverie must start with Obama’s false claims that he would not run for president in 2008.
When Tim Russert, then the moderator of NBC’s “Meet the Press,” first asked Obama about his ambition for higher office in November 2014, Obama demurred. That was before Obama was sworn in as a U.S. Senator. When Russert asked Obama again in January 2006, Obama stated flat out he wouldn’t seek the presidency in 2008. Then in October 2006 Obama cavedand, in a fete of nuancing worthy of John Kerry, admitted to Russert that he was considering running for president in 2008.
Obama’s presidency began with a flubbed oath of office, which required a mulligan.
Just two days after that inauspicious beginning, President Obama issued his hasty and doomed directive closing of the terrorist detention center in Guantanamo Bay, but not for a year. Gitmo remains open as the Obama presidency ends.
The Democrat-controlled Congress gave Obama’s his so-called stimulus, that $819 billion bailout boondoggle that, after weeks of vacillation, Obama claimed would “create or save” three to four million jobs — 90 percent of them in the private sector. Month after month we watched the monthly unemployment reports and saw how Obama’s stimulus boondoggle failed to deliver the jobs he promised.
Obama also failed to keep his promise to cut the deficit in half by the end of his first term. A promise Obama made at least five times. Instead of cutting the deficit in half by the end of his “first” term, Obama racked up the four largest deficits in U.S. history. You shouldn’t be shocked by Obama’s failure to reduce the deficit in half by the end of his first term in office. After all, Obama did warn us there would be “trillion-dollar deficits for years to come.”
