World Congress of Families

Dear Friend of the Natural Family,

Our website is "under new construction," but the June/July 2013 issue of World Congress of Families News is available online at:www.worldcongress.org/wcfnl/pdf/2013/wcfnl.0613.pdf. Of course, the big news was the success of World Congress of Families VII – the recently concluded Sydney Congress – covered in the first 4 pages. We’ll have follow-up coverage in the August newsletter, including quotes from speeches. And there's also news of our next Congress in Moscow – WCF VIII, September 10-12, 2014 – and the WCF response to the recently enacted Russian law prohibiting propaganda aimed at corrupting youth.

Other news includes:
  • The WCF response to the U.S. Supreme Court’s DOMA decision
  • Christian Concern's fight to preserve marriage in the United Kingdom
  • La Manif Pour Tous' ongoing demonstrations against the new “marriage” law in France
  • A “defense of marriage” petition in Estonia (signed by 6.5% of the total population) and Professionals for Ethics’ support for Hungary's pro-family constitution
  • Leadership Profiles of Dr. Miriam Grossman and Michael van der Mast (Cry for Life)
  • A New Partner Profile of Family First New Zealand
And coverage of the annual convention of the Alliance for Romania's Families.

Go to www.worldcongress.org/wcfnl/pdf/2013/wcfnl.0613.pdf to read the full issue of WCF News.

Originally, we envisioned having Congresses every two to three years, and that was the norm from Prague (WCF I) to Amsterdam (WCF IV). Due to proliferating national and international threats to the family, the WCF planning process has been shortened considerably. With WCF VIII in Moscow, we will have had three Congresses in as many years – Madrid (2012), Sydney (2013) and Moscow (2014). That’s besides an increasing number of regional events in recent years – in Vancouver, Trinidad, Bolivia, Ottawa, London, Nigeria, Riga, Moscow, etc.

Both our staff and our resources are exhausted. But given the red-alert threats to the family throughout the world, we felt the international pro-family movement needed to convene on a yearly basis. We know you understand the need to educate, unify, and rally the international pro-family movement, and we hope you’ll support us with a generous donation giving online at http://www.profam.org/THC/xthc_join.htm.

Your support, encouragement, and prayers are very much appreciated. Thank you for helping us build the international pro-family movement to affirm and defend the natural family, God’s unique institution.

Blessings to you and your family!
